5. How to look after your WEAVE

Updated: Jan 10

Weaves are strips of hair cut to the width of your head then sewn to a base, this base is created with a line of metal silicone lined beads, the same beads used for micro rings.

It’s pretty straight forward

Probably the easiest of methods to care for:

  • You will have 1, 2 or 3 rows usually.

  • Make sure your own natural hair between the rows isn’t tangling but lifting up each section.

  • Going to bed with wet/damp hair or sweating in the gym (good on you) can cause matting at the root.

  • Make sure you're using a soft bristle brush or tangle tamer to avoid this.

Maintenance

  • Your weave should be re fitted every 6-8 weeks.

  • The weave will begin to feel looser from 1-2 weeks. You’ll notice how quickly your hair actually grows. Don’t worry if it does start to feel looser... its built to last 6-8 weeks.
