WHERE IT ALL BEGAN?
12 years ago I was looking for extensions for myself. After googling and looking through page after page (you see Instagram wasn’t a “thing” then!) I realised there wasn't ANYONE around the area and the odd hair tech I came across on GUMTREE didn’t feel me with much confidence.
I was worried about bald patches and losing my hair - yes I’d also heard the horror stories.
LIGHTBULB MOMENT
Erm.. I can do this, I’m good with hair I mean my hair is curly & frizzy - the hardest to control but I do manage pretty well. I can make sure it’s safe and make people feel comfortable
That day I found a course… completed it. Did I feel confident? NO! .. well I knew the basics but that’s about it.
Gutted, but I was determined. It was on my mind 24/7 and I don’t like giving up, it’s not in my nature. I just didn’t want to ruin anyone’s hair as I would have been devastated!
SAFE APPLICATION
I’d seen some horrendous heartbreaking cases of poorly fitted extensions and I didn’t want to be the cause of that.
Extensions were evolving, more methods were popping up. I found another course & another & another - travelled across the country learning from the best and adapting my basic skills in to something special.
